ECCALON CEO DELIVERS KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT 2018 AIR FORCE CONTRACTING SUMMIT

Eccalon CEO Andre Gudger gave the keynote address to more than 450 participants who took part in the opening day of the 2018 Air Force Contracting Summit in Destin, Florida.

The Summit, organized by the Defense Leadership Forum, educated businesses and entrepreneurs from across the United States about the mission and contracting priorities of the U.S. Air Force, identified the best innovative defense solutions from industry, explained contracting procedures, as well as connected businesses with federal contracting resources.

“The Defense Leadership Forum was honored to have had Mr. Andre Gudger as our Keynote Speaker at this year’s Air Force Contracting Summit,” said Howard Snow, Summit Moderator and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Installations, Facilities, and Energy.  “His knowledge and expertise of the Department of Defense’s supply chain, logistical support mechanizes and the complex essentials of the contracting processes were a force multiplier for the attendee’s knowledge base.  We look forward to calling upon Mr. Gudger for future events.”

“As the backbone to the American economy, we have all taken the necessary step forward toward ensuring that the collective ingenuity that stems from our small business community is reflected in the innovative products and services provided to the Air Force. By taking the time to network and gain insight on how to do business with the Department of Defense, we get closer to helping the Air Force maintain the technological superiority necessary to aid in the defense of our nation”, said Andre to a group of innovators, entrepreneurs, as well as current and former government officials.

In its fifth year, the two-day Summit brought together contractors, subcontractors, military officials, contracting officers, and defense agencies to discuss the mission and contracting priorities of the U.S. Air Force. Best practices from companies across industry were shared along with strategic presentations that addressed procedures for small businesses and identified federal contracting resources.

The Air Force Contracting Summit strongly emphasized networking and contracting opportunities between prime contractors and new subcontractors with more than 40 exhibitors in attendance who showcased their defense solutions.

The 2019 Air Force Contracting Summit will be held January 31 through February 1, 2019, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa.
