ECCALON CEO ANDRE GUDGER RECEIVES ENGINEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Eccalon CEO Andre Gudger was honored by the University of Maryland Baltimore County Alumni Association by receiving this year’s Engineer of the Year Award during a reception hosted by the university. The Alumni Association honors distinguished former students and faculty for their accomplishments in industry and dedication to UMBC. Andre distinguished himself on the merits of high achievement in both the public and private sector. Prior to life as an Obama Appointee, Andre was a technology entrepreneur who built a world-class cybersecurity solutions company and provider to clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to the Federal Government.

In his most recent role in the federal government, André served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy and was the lead in ensuring that a robust, secure, resilient, and innovative industrial base met the needs of the Department of Defense.

Previously, he served as the Director of the Office of Small Business Programs, where he acted as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense on all matters related to small business, and oversaw more than $120 billion of annual awards to small companies.
